  • According to the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines on medication vs therapy, both therapy (such as CBT) and medications have been shown to be highly effective for conditions such as depression and anxiety, using a combination of both often producing the best results (especially for moderate-to-severe cases). While Medication works quickly to relieve symptoms, therapy can offer long-term changes in beliefs, thinking patterns, and coping strategies that reduce symptoms and lower relapse risk. Talk to your GP if you have questions about taking or changing Medications.
